Mono MM cartridge with a 25 µm spherical diamond for mono microgroove records. Delivers 4 mV and works with standard MM phono inputs. Read more.
The Ortofon OM D25M is a Moving Magnet cartridge specifically tuned for playing mono microgroove records. Its 25 µm spherical diamond matches the groove geometry of many original mono LPs, EPs and singles. With a 4 mV output, the cartridge can be connected directly to a standard MM phono input. The replaceable stylus also makes future maintenance straightforward without requiring replacement of the complete cartridge.

The OM D25M is particularly suitable for original mono LPs, EPs and singles with microgrooves intended for a 25 µm stylus. Carefully mount and align the cartridge, then set the tracking force to 2.5 grams. This cartridge is not intended for standard 78 rpm shellac records; for those records, choose the Ortofon OM 78 with its larger 65 µm stylus.
