The WBT-0110 Ag nextgen™ is an uncompromising RCA/phono plug designed for premium digital and analogue connections. Its 75-ohm characteristic impedance and transmission bandwidth of up to 1 GHz make it an excellent choice for digital coaxial links as well as analogue broadband applications.
The one-piece signal contacts are manufactured from high-purity fine silver. Its outstanding electrical conductivity supports fast, accurate signal transfer. The low-metal-mass nextgen™ construction prevents disruptive eddy currents, thereby avoiding the signal distortion associated with conventional metal-heavy connectors.
WBT’s patented clamping mechanism operates like the chuck of a drill. Tightening the sleeve firmly clamps the outer contact against the RCA socket. The resulting high contact pressure provides a secure mechanical connection while minimising contact resistance.
The two-piece clamping sleeve prevents torsional stress on the contact elements during tightening. It also compensates for minor dimensional differences between RCA sockets. The slotted centre pin creates a firm yet elastic contact for lasting and reliable electrical performance.
The WBT-0110 Ag accepts cables with an outside diameter of up to 9 mm. Connections may be soldered or crimped using a 2.8 mm flat receptacle. A Torx T.6 screw provides secure strain relief. WBT recommends the WBT-0488 Torx T.6 key and WBT-0800 silver solder for assembly.
