The Ortofon 2M Blue replacement stylus restores the performance of an existing 2M Blue cartridge and provides a natural upgrade for the 2M Red. Its Nude Elliptical diamond follows the record groove more accurately than the bonded diamond used on the 2M Red. This helps reduce distortion while revealing finer detail, greater openness and improved dynamics. The stylus can be replaced without purchasing or remounting a complete cartridge.

Switch off the turntable and carefully pull the old stylus assembly straight forwards from the cartridge. Fit the new stylus without touching the diamond or cantilever. The cartridge does not need to be realigned provided that its body has not been loosened or moved. After installation, check the tracking force and preferably set it to 1.8 grams. The anti-skating setting should also be checked.
