The black Ortofon Record Stabilizer Heavy uses its 350 g weight to improve contact between the record and platter. This helps reduce unwanted vibration during playback and supports calm, consistent reproduction. No installation or preparation is required: simply place the stabilizer over the centre spindle on the record before playback.

Before use, check that your turntable bearing and suspension can support an additional 350 g. For lightweight turntables and models with a suspended subchassis, the 240 g Ortofon Standard version is generally the more suitable choice. Also check that the dust cover provides sufficient internal clearance. Place and remove the stabilizer while the platter is stationary.
