The Furutech NCF Booster is a premium adjustable cable and connector support designed for carefully optimised hi-fi and high-end audio systems. It supports cables and connectors, reduces direct cable contact with the floor and helps control unwanted mechanical resonance and static charge.
Its adjustable construction allows the NCF Booster to be positioned either along a cable run or directly underneath a connection on an amplifier, power conditioner, DAC, streamer or other audio component. When used with heavy high-end power cables, it can also help reduce mechanical stress on connectors and equipment sockets.
At the heart of the NCF Booster is Furutech's proprietary NCF technology – Nano Crystal² Formula. Furutech combines a special crystalline material with nano-sized ceramic particles and carbon powder. The technology has been developed to help control static charge and unwanted mechanical resonance in high-performance audio applications.
The support unit is manufactured from audio-grade ABS resin and NCF nylon resin. Its top clamp combines NCF nylon resin with a solid stainless-steel block, while the weighted base incorporates a slip-resistant, shock-absorbing plate.
Heavy power cables and high-end interconnects can place considerable mechanical force on IEC, mains and other equipment connections. Cables pulling downwards or entering a socket at an awkward angle can place unnecessary strain on both the cable and connector.
The Furutech NCF Booster allows cables to be aligned more accurately with equipment sockets while providing stable mechanical support. It can also contribute to a cleaner and more controlled cable layout within a high-end audio system.
The standard NCF Booster has a base height of approximately 80 mm and can be adjusted to around 140 mm. This makes it suitable for a wide variety of cable sizes and connector positions. Optional Furutech Extension Shafts are available separately when additional height is required.
