The Furutech The Astoria 1.5 Meter is a high-quality power cable from Furutech's Studio Power Series, developed for demanding high-end hi-fi systems and professional audio equipment. Furutech uses high-quality PC Triple C copper for The Astoria. During production, the copper is processed under controlled pressure to optimise its internal crystal structure. The objective is to create a highly uniform conductive path and minimise unwanted transitions within the conductor material.
Each of the three conductors consists of 80 strands measuring 0.18 mm. This construction is combined with specially selected audio-grade insulation and shielding.
The European version of the Furutech The Astoria is fitted with a Furutech FI-E11(Cu) Schuko plug and FI-11(Cu) IEC connector. Their electrical contact parts are made from high-quality non-plated copper.
Instead of adding a gold or rhodium plating layer, Furutech uses a direct copper contact interface in The Astoria. The solid connector housings also provide a secure mechanical connection.
The Astoria incorporates an OFC copper braided shield designed to reduce the influence of external electrical and electromagnetic interference.
Flexible audio-grade PVC insulation and a robust outer sheath complement the shielding while helping to control unwanted mechanical vibration.
