The Furutech The Roxy 1.5 metre is a high-performance power cable specifically developed for analogue hi-fi components. The live and neutral conductors each use 37 strands of silver-plated OFC copper, while a 37-strand α-OFC conductor is used for earth.
Each conductor is surrounded by special audio-grade polyethylene insulation. Furutech combines this with a cotton inner filler, paper tape barrier layer, flexible RoHS-compliant audio-grade PVC sheath and a durable black nylon yarn braided outer sleeve.
The European Roxy-E version is terminated with a gold-plated Furutech FI-E11(G) Schuko connector and a gold-plated FI-C15(G) IEC connector.
The slim FI-C15(G) is especially useful with components featuring recessed or space-restricted IEC sockets. Its compact construction also makes The Roxy particularly practical with lightweight components such as phono stages.
Furutech specifically recommends The Roxy for use with turntables and phono stages. In a high-quality analogue playback chain, where extremely small audio signals are involved, careful attention to every part of the system is particularly important.
