Inline power filter with NCF, IEC C15 and EMI reduction for hi-fi systems. Designed for clean power between cable and component. Read more.
The Furutech Flux-C15 NCF is a premium inline AC power filter designed to reduce power-line interference as close as possible to your audio or video component. It is installed between an existing power cable and a compatible component or power distributor, allowing targeted power optimisation without replacing the complete power cable infrastructure.
Furutech combines its AC-1501R EMI filtering system with the premium CF-C15 NCF(R) IEC connector, rhodium-plated α (Alpha) conductors, GC-303 EMI-absorbing material and several technologies developed to control electrical and mechanical resonance.
At the heart of the Flux-C15 NCF is Furutech's AC-1501R EMI filtering system with Neo Damper technology. Its parallel filtering circuit uses an inline coil and capacitor to reduce high-frequency noise travelling through the AC supply.
Furutech specifies approximately 10 dB of noise reduction at 1 MHz and more than 30 dB at 10 MHz. This makes the Flux-C15 NCF particularly relevant in modern systems containing streamers, DACs, digital sources, network equipment and switching power supplies.
The Flux-C15 NCF features Furutech's high-end CF-C15 NCF(R) Slimline IEC connector. This incorporates the company's proprietary Nano Crystal² Formula (NCF) technology.
NCF combines a special crystalline material with ceramic particles and carbon. Furutech developed the technology to reduce static charge and mechanical resonance around critical electrical connections. Nylon and fibreglass are also incorporated into the connector construction for additional mechanical stability and damping.
The AC-1501R section uses rhodium-plated α (Alpha) non-magnetic copper-alloy conductors. Furutech's Alpha treatment is an important part of the company's high-end connector and power product philosophy.
The Flux-C15 NCF also features an α (Alpha) conductor shield to protect against radiated noise, special audio-grade PE insulation and a flexible RoHS-compliant PVC sheath designed to assist vibration isolation.
Furutech's Floating Field Damper, also known as the Earth/Ground Jumper System, is designed to reduce unwanted electromagnetic effects associated with metallic connector components.
The Flux-C15 NCF also incorporates Furutech's passive GC-303 EMI-absorbing material. A substantial metal cable clamp improves mechanical grip and helps minimise movement and vibration around the connection.
The Furutech Flux-C15 NCF can be used with suitable amplifiers, preamplifiers, DACs, network streamers, CD players, phono stages, active speakers and AV equipment equipped with a compatible IEC power inlet.
The slim CF-C15 NCF(R) design is also useful where space behind the component is limited. Furutech specifically highlights slim-profile video equipment, including compatible 4K and 8K televisions.
Always check IEC compatibility and electrical loading before installation. The Flux-C15 NCF is rated at AC 125V / 15A or AC 250V / 10A, 50/60Hz.
