The title track of Bad Company’s third album “Run With The Pack”, released in early 1976, is, as one critic described it, “a song that brings men together”. Frontman Paul Rodgers was inspired by the band’s relentless touring.
“Run With The Pack” stands out for its string arrangement, which Rodgers said he had envisioned from the very beginning. “I wrote the song on the piano, and when I played it for the guys, they were immediately excited. In my head, the strings were always part of the song.”
The album was recorded in France in September 1975 using the Rolling Stones Mobile Truck under the direction of Ron Nevison, and was mixed in Los Angeles by Eddie Kramer.
