The Furutech FI-E11-N1 (R) is a premium Schuko power plug designed for building or upgrading high-quality power cables for hi-fi, high-end audio and AV systems. It combines rhodium-plated α (Alpha) phosphor bronze conductors with a robust mechanical construction and a non-magnetic stainless-steel cable clamp.
Rated at 16A / 250V AC, the FI-E11-N1 (R) accommodates power cables with an outer diameter of 6.6 to 16.0 mm. Furutech states that cables up to approximately 20 mm can be accommodated when using a longer fixing screw.
The current-carrying contacts are manufactured from α (Alpha) phosphor bronze and finished with a high-quality rhodium plating. Rhodium is hard and wear-resistant, making it well suited to durable electrical contact surfaces.
For a high-performance power connection, the quality of the connector itself is an important part of the complete cable. Furutech therefore pays close attention to conductor materials, contact integrity and mechanical stability.
The N1 version uses an improved non-magnetic stainless-steel cable damping clamp. It provides a secure mechanical grip on the cable while helping prevent pulling forces from being transferred directly to the internal conductor connections.
The solid clamp construction also helps control unwanted mechanical movement and resonance within the connector.
The FI-E11-N1 (R) accepts cable diameters from 6.6 to 16.0 mm and conductor sizes up to 5.5 mm² / 10 AWG. This makes it suitable for a wide range of premium bulk power cables used in custom and DIY audio power cords.
The front body is manufactured from nylon reinforced with fiberglass, while the outer shell is made from polycarbonate. The Rhodium version features Furutech's characteristic transparent blue housing.
