WiiM Sound combines a powerful active loudspeaker, high-resolution music streaming and intelligent control in one compact enclosure. With 100 watts of peak output, a 4-inch woofer, two 1-inch silk-dome tweeters and advanced digital signal processing, it delivers a full, clear and controlled presentation. Support for audio up to 24-bit/192 kHz makes WiiM Sound suitable for effortless everyday listening as well as a serious wireless hi-fi system.
The speaker is part of the extensive WiiM ecosystem. It can be used on its own, paired with a second speaker for true stereo or combined with compatible WiiM products for multiroom audio and home cinema.
The acoustic system combines a 4-inch paper-cone woofer with two 1-inch silk-dome tweeters. The woofer produces natural midrange and controlled bass, while the silk tweeters provide smooth treble and wide dispersion. Individually tuned frequency ranges and a precision crossover help to reduce distortion and create a coherent, spacious soundstage.
With a frequency response from 35 Hz to 20 kHz, WiiM Sound reaches surprisingly deep for its compact dimensions. Voices remain clear, instruments are positioned accurately and dynamic music retains power and control.
WiiM Sound supports high-resolution playback up to 24-bit/192 kHz and gapless playback. The WiiM Home app provides access to more than twenty streaming services, including Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz, Amazon Music, Deezer, TuneIn, SoundCloud and internet radio. The availability of individual services may vary by country.
Compatible native apps can stream directly through Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Google Cast and Alexa Cast. Roon, DLNA and music stored on a computer, media server or NAS are also supported. Apple AirPlay 2 is not supported by WiiM Sound. Apple Music can still be played through Bluetooth or other compatible playback methods.
Loudspeaker placement has a major influence on sound quality. AI RoomFit therefore analyses the acoustics of the room and the position of the speaker. It uses the microphones in WiiM Sound and a compatible smartphone. The WiiM Home app then creates a correction profile that reduces unwanted peaks and dips in the frequency response.
In addition to automatic room correction, the system includes a 10-band graphic equaliser, a 10-band parametric equaliser and 24 preset EQ profiles. This allows the sound to be tailored to the room, music genre, selected input and personal preference.
The circular 1.8-inch touchscreen displays album artwork, playback information, sources, presets and AI RoomFit status. Music, volume, sources and stored favourites can be controlled directly from the speaker. A choice of clock faces and personal wallpapers is also available.
WiiM Voice Remote 2 Lite is included as standard. This rechargeable remote provides controls for playback, pause, volume, track skipping, source selection and four favourite preset buttons. Push-to-talk voice control allows voice commands to be activated only when required.
A single WiiM Sound can fill a room with music. Pairing two speakers creates dedicated left and right channels for a wider stereo image, clearer vocals and more precise placement of instruments. The stereo pair can be configured in a few steps through the WiiM Home app.
Multiple WiiM devices can also be grouped for synchronised multiroom playback. The same music can be played throughout the home, or each room can use its own source and volume setting.
For deeper bass, WiiM Sound can be expanded wirelessly with the WiiM Sub Pro. In a compatible WiiM home-cinema system, the speaker can also be assigned as a centre or surround channel. A product such as the WiiM Amp Ultra can act as the central connection for television audio, passive speakers and wireless WiiM components.
The standard WiiM Sound is the best choice for users who value direct control and visible playback information. It includes a 1.8-inch touchscreen and WiiM Voice Remote 2 Lite. The WiiM Sound Lite is the more minimalist version without a display and without a remote control included as standard.
Wi-Fi 6E provides a fast and stable wireless network connection. Bluetooth 5.3 allows music to be played directly from a smartphone, tablet or computer. A 100 Mbps Ethernet port is available for a fixed network connection.
The analogue 3.5mm AUX input can be used for an external source such as a CD player, television, portable music player or turntable with a built-in or external phono preamplifier. Audio from this input can also be shared with other rooms inside a compatible WiiM multiroom system.
