The WiiM Sub Pro is a powerful active subwoofer for music lovers, movie enthusiasts and gamers who want to add deep, controlled and precisely adjustable bass to their audio system. Its integrated Class-D amplifier delivers 250 watts to a purpose-designed 8-inch driver, producing low frequencies with both authority and control.
The official frequency response is 35 to 200 Hz at ±3 dB, with bass extension down to 25 Hz at -10 dB. This technically accurate specification shows that the WiiM Sub Pro can reproduce subtle low-frequency information in music as well as powerful effects in films and games.
A high-quality subwoofer should do more than simply produce a large amount of bass. The WiiM Sub Pro is engineered for fast, tight and controlled low-frequency reproduction. Bass lines remain easy to follow, while soundtracks, explosions and gaming effects gain greater weight and impact. The manufacturer specifies a maximum sound level of 104 dB SPL.
The WiiM Home app allows the subwoofer to be accurately matched to your speakers, room and personal listening preferences. Level, crossover frequency, phase and latency can all be adjusted. This allows the Sub Pro to blend smoothly with compact bookshelf speakers, floorstanding speakers, wireless speakers or a home cinema system.
Subwoofer placement and room acoustics have a major influence on bass performance. RoomFit™ analyses the acoustic characteristics of the listening room and helps reduce unwanted peaks and dips in the low-frequency range. The result is more even and natural bass at the listening position.
For further fine-tuning, the WiiM Sub Pro provides a 10-band parametric equaliser. Individual frequency areas can be adjusted with greater precision. Dedicated music and movie settings are also available, allowing you to choose between an accurate, balanced presentation and greater cinematic impact.
The WiiM Sub Pro can connect wirelessly over the network to compatible WiiM streamers, amplifiers and speakers. The audio signal can therefore be transmitted without running a long analogue signal cable to the subwoofer. A mains power cable is still required.
The Sub Pro works with network-enabled WiiM devices, with the exception of the WiiM Vibelink Amp. The Vibelink Amp has no network connection and no dedicated subwoofer output. Explore the complete WiiM range or combine the Sub Pro with the WiiM Amp Ultra.
The WiiM Sub Pro is not limited to a complete WiiM system. Its analogue mono RCA input allows it to connect to an amplifier, AV receiver, preamplifier, active speaker or soundbar equipped with a suitable subwoofer or LFE output.
An RCA cable is included in the box. For longer cable runs or a high-quality permanent installation, Hi-Stands also offers a wide selection of subwoofer cables.
The WiiM Sub Pro supports Wi-Fi 6E across the 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz bands. It also features Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio and a 10/100Mbps Ethernet connection. Ethernet is particularly useful when a fixed network connection is preferred or when wireless coverage is weaker at the chosen subwoofer position.
The Sub Pro can be placed at the front of the listening room, close to the main speakers or nearer a corner. Corner placement generally produces more bass energy, while positioning near the main speakers can offer a more even blend. RoomFit™, phase adjustment and the variable crossover frequency can then be used to optimise the result.
The modern cabinet with softly rounded edges is available in black and white, making the Sub Pro suitable for traditional hi-fi systems, contemporary living rooms and dedicated home cinemas.
