The Tonar 4475 NoStatic Arm follows the record during playback, removes loose dust with a carbon-fibre brush and discharges static electricity through its earth wire. Read more.
The Tonar 4475 NoStatic Arm is a practical tracking arm that follows the record during playback. Its carbon-fibre brush collects loose dust before the stylus reaches that part of the record. At the same time, static charge is discharged through the supplied earth wire, helping the vinyl remain cleaner and reducing its tendency to attract fresh dust.
The NoStatic Arm is Tonar’s modern version of the well-known Cecil Watts Dust Bug. It operates entirely mechanically, without batteries or an external power supply. Both its height and brush pressure can be adjusted for correct use with most turntables.

Position the NoStatic Arm so that its brush can travel from the outer edge of the record towards the centre. Adjust the height and sliding counterweight until the bristles make light contact with the vinyl. Connect the earth wire to the ground terminal of the turntable, phono preamplifier or amplifier.
Before permanently attaching the base, check that sufficient space is available next to the platter and beneath the turntable’s dust cover. Heavily contaminated records should first be cleaned thoroughly using a suitable wet-cleaning method.
