Furutech FT-SWS-D NCF Box – high-end power distribution for premium hi-fi systems

The Furutech FT-SWS-D NCF Box is a premium 2-way power distributor designed for music lovers and audiophiles who regard power delivery as an important part of a high-performance audio system. It combines two premium Schuko outlets with rhodium-plated contacts, Furutech NCF technology, α-OCC star wiring and a substantial aluminium chassis.

Unlike a conventional mains filter, the FT-SWS-D NCF Box is deliberately designed as an unfiltered power distributor. There are no active filter circuits in the AC path. Instead, Furutech concentrates on conductor quality, contact integrity, mechanical stability and a direct power path to the connected audio or video components.

Two FT-SWS-NCF(R) Schuko outlets

The FT-SWS-D NCF Box uses two Furutech FT-SWS-NCF(R) Schuko outlets. Their conducting parts are manufactured from non-magnetic pure copper with rhodium plating.

This makes the distributor particularly suitable for high-quality integrated amplifiers, power amplifiers, preamplifiers, DACs, network streamers, CD and SACD players and premium external power supplies.

NCF – Nano Crystal² Formula

A key feature is Furutech's proprietary NCF – Nano Crystal² Formula. Furutech combines a special crystalline material with nano-sized ceramic particles and carbon material.

NCF is designed to help control static charge, unwanted vibration and mechanical resonance around connectors and housings. Furutech therefore addresses not only electrical conductivity but also the mechanical environment surrounding the power connection.

High-purity α-OCC star wiring

Inside the FT-SWS-D NCF Box, Furutech uses high-purity α-OCC copper wiring with a specification of 14 AWG / 2.0 mm². The two outlets are wired in a star configuration.

Each outlet is supplied individually from the central power entry point, creating a carefully controlled internal power path consistent with Furutech's Pure Transmission philosophy.

Furutech FI-06 NCF IEC inlet

The distributor is fitted with a Furutech FI-06 NCF IEC inlet, allowing the user to select a suitable detachable power cable for the system.

NCF technology is therefore incorporated at both the IEC input and the Schuko outlet stage, with α-OCC wiring forming the connection between them.

Solid aluminium construction

The internal components are housed in a substantial 5 mm aluminium enclosure. Its rigid construction provides mechanical stability and helps shield the internal parts from external electromagnetic and radio-frequency influences.

Together with Furutech's NCF materials, the construction is specifically designed with vibration and resonance control in mind.

Unfiltered design for a direct AC path

The FT-SWS-D NCF Box does not contain an integrated mains filter. This is an intentional design choice rather than an omission.

For users who want their components supplied through premium contacts and conductors without an additional filter network in the AC path, its unfiltered construction can be particularly attractive. Users specifically requiring mains-noise filtering should choose a dedicated Furutech filtering solution.
