The WBT-0710 Cu is a premium nextgen™ speaker binding post developed for demanding loudspeaker manufacturers, DIY builders and audiophile music enthusiasts. This complete set contains four binding posts, making it suitable for one pair of loudspeakers with a conventional single-wiring connection.
Unlike many conventional speaker terminals, the WBT-0710 Cu uses a signal conductor made from pure copper. WBT's functional nextgen™ hybrid construction substantially reduces the amount of metal in the signal path. This minimises unwanted eddy-current and mass-storage effects while maintaining the required mechanical stability.
The copper signal conductor features nickel-free gold plating for protection against corrosion. Because no magnetic nickel layer is used between the copper and gold, the signal path is ideally suited to high-quality audio applications. The WBT-0710 Cu supports a maximum continuous current of 30 amperes and peak currents of up to 200 amperes.
The external connection accepts 4 mm banana plugs, spades with a 6 to 8 mm contact fork and crimped cable ends. Internally, the terminal can be soldered or connected with a 6.3 mm flat push-on connector. This makes it suitable for both new loudspeaker projects and premium terminal upgrades.
The supplied mounting insulators provide an electrically insulated and twist-proof installation. The WBT-0710 Cu complies with the relevant CE and IEC requirements. Colour-coded rings allow clear identification of the correct polarity.
