AudioQuest Vodka 48 Ultra High Speed HDMI cable with 48Gbps bandwidth, solid LGC conductors with 10% silver plating, Level-3 Noise-Dissipation, 8K/60Hz, 4K/120Hz, eARC and Dynamic HDR. Read more.
The AudioQuest Vodka 48 HDMI is designed for premium home cinema, audio and gaming systems where maximum HDMI performance and effective management of radio-frequency noise are essential. This Ultra High Speed HDMI cable provides bandwidth up to 48Gbps and supports modern HDMI 2.1 applications including 8K/60Hz, 4K/120Hz, Dynamic HDR, eARC, VRR, ALLM and QFT.
Within AudioQuest's 48 Series, Vodka 48 distinguishes itself through solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors with 10% silver plating for the A/V signal paths. These premium conductors are combined with AudioQuest Level-3 Noise-Dissipation, engineered to efficiently dissipate radio-frequency noise surrounding high-speed HDMI signals.

Vodka 48 offers the full 48Gbps bandwidth of AudioQuest's 48 Series. Four balanced audio/video pairs are each capable of carrying up to 12Gbps, providing the bandwidth required for demanding video formats including 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 120Hz. AudioQuest also specifies video transmission up to professional 10K Ultra HD.
Vodka 48 is Ultra High Speed HDMI certified and remains backwards compatible with existing 4K equipment.
A defining feature of Vodka 48 is its use of solid Long-Grain Copper conductors with 10% silver plating. Solid conductors prevent electrical and magnetic interaction between individual strands, while the silver plating is applied to further optimise performance at the extremely high frequencies used by HDMI.
The dedicated eARC conductor pair also uses solid conductors with 10% silver plating.
HDMI signals operate at extremely high frequencies. Vodka 48 therefore features AudioQuest Level-3 Noise-Dissipation. A high-loss carbon layer is sandwiched between metal layers around the four FRL pairs and the eARC pair. This Carbon Mesh-Network is designed to improve the dissipation of radio-frequency noise.
All 19 conductors are direction-controlled by AudioQuest to further optimise RF-noise dissipation.
AudioQuest Vodka 48 supports eARC – Enhanced Audio Return Channel, allowing a compatible television to return high-quality audio to an AV receiver or soundbar through the same HDMI connection.
Vodka 48 also supports Dynamic HDR for modern HDR applications when used with compatible source equipment and displays.
Vodka 48 supports important modern gaming features including:
This makes Vodka 48 an excellent choice for Sony PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and high-performance gaming PCs, provided the connected equipment also supports the relevant features.
Both Vodka 48 and AudioQuest Carbon 48 offer 48Gbps bandwidth, Ultra High Speed HDMI certification and Level-3 Noise-Dissipation. The key difference is conductor material: Carbon 48 uses solid LGC conductors with 5% silver plating, whereas Vodka 48 increases this to 10% silver plating on its A/V and eARC conductors, positioning Vodka 48 higher in AudioQuest's HDMI 48 Series.
AudioQuest Vodka 48 is suitable for OLED and Mini-LED televisions, premium projectors, AV receivers, surround processors, soundbars, UHD Blu-ray players, media players, streamers and modern game consoles.
When HDMI is used primarily to return audio through ARC or eARC, also consider the AudioQuest Vodka eARC Priority HDMI cable.
Yes. Its maximum 48Gbps bandwidth supports 4K at up to 120Hz when both the source and display support the required resolution and frame rate.
Yes. Vodka 48 supports 8K at up to 60Hz. AudioQuest also specifies video transmission up to professional 10K Ultra HD.
Yes. Vodka 48 supports 4K/120Hz, VRR, ALLM and QFT, making it suitable for modern consoles when the connected display also supports these features.
Both offer 48Gbps bandwidth and Level-3 Noise-Dissipation. Carbon 48 uses 5% silver-plated LGC conductors, while Vodka 48 uses 10% silver plating on its A/V and eARC conductors.
