Van Halen - Diver Down is presented as the numbered MFSL Hybrid SACD UDSACD 2247. For this audiophile edition, mastering engineer Rob LoVerde worked from the original analog tapes, delivering impressive clarity, dynamics, immediacy and the unmistakable punch associated with Van Halen.
Originally released in 1982, Diver Down is Van Halen's fifth studio album. David Lee Roth, Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen and Michael Anthony mix original material with distinctive interpretations of well-known songs. Highlights include (Oh) Pretty Woman, Dancing in the Street and Where Have All the Good Times Gone!, alongside instrumental showcases such as Cathedral and Little Guitars (Intro).
For this edition, MFSL – Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab sourced the album from the original analog tapes. Rob LoVerde's mastering allows the energy, tonal character and spaciousness of the recording to emerge with exceptional precision.
