Sumiko Wellfleet Phono Cartridge

Next-Generation Moving Magnet with Superior Resolution

The Sumiko Wellfleet joins the Rainier family as a refined and highly responsive MM cartridge. Featuring an upgraded suspension and a polished nude elliptical stylus, it delivers faster, more precise tracking with exceptional clarity. The result is a vivid listening experience with heightened detail, speed and spatial definition.

By removing excess mass from the stylus assembly, the Wellfleet achieves remarkable responsiveness. Vocals sound immediate and lifelike, bass performance is tight and well-controlled, and subtle musical cues—snare wire texture, acoustic guitar resonance—emerge with ease. Surface noise is reduced, creating a deeper, more silent backdrop.

Fully compatible with Sumiko’s versatile upgrade architecture, Wellfleet allows easy progression from Rainier to Olympia, Moonstone and now Wellfleet by simply swapping the stylus. Combined with a resonance-optimized body, this model offers a natural, transparent and organically spacious sound signature reminiscent of moving-coil performance.
