“Amigos”, the seventh studio album by the gifted guitarist and songwriter, is adored by long-time and new Santana fans alike. After a series of albums oriented towards jazz fusion, the band returned to its roots and, in 1976, recorded a highly infectious blend of R&B, Latin, rock and funk that would become an inspiration for musical adventure, craftsmanship and virtuosity across generations.

Frenetically celebrated by the mainstream, the underground and the music media alike, “Amigos” was able to conquer top positions in the album charts worldwide and gained multiple gold status. The hit single “Let It Shine” and the popular “Europa (Earth's Cry Heaven's Smile)” are still part of Santana's live repertoire.

The LP, mastered at MoFi's California studio and pressed at Fidelity Record Pressing on 180-gram vinyl (33 rpm), is strictly limited to 3,000 individually numbered copies and is part of Mobile Fidelity's Santana reissue series. The series is not only highly valued by Santana collectors: the audiophile sound, which impresses with a black background and brings across the coherent interplay of the band with enormous presence and energy, also shows “Amigos” from a side that has never been heard before. For the first time, the depth of the bass lines, the room-filling sound of the organ, the textures of the numerous percussion instruments, Santana's extraordinary guitar work and, last but not least, the vocals of the master himself are presented in the right light!
