Legends have a way of sticking around. Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue" is the best-selling jazz album of all time, has been praised, included in "Best Of" lists and halls of fame, and universally recognized as a seminal recording - a five-track masterpiece of melancholy mood and melody.

It remains one of the most listened to and studied recordings of all time, a must-read for many young musicians, and one of the most transcendent jazz works ever recorded. Davis played trumpet with his ensemble sextet featuring pianist Bill Evans, drummer Jimmy Cobb, bassist Paul Chambers, saxophonists John Coltrane and Julian "Cannonball" Adderley, and with Wynton Kelly on piano on "Freddy the Freeloader."

Analogue Productions is releasing the masterpiece as an Ultra High Quality Record (UHQR), pressed on two 200-gram transparent vinyl discs, with attention to every detail of each record. In addition to the two LPs, the jewel box includes a 20-page booklet with session photos and liner notes by Robert Palmer and Ashley Kahn.
