iFi iPower X
The iFi iPower X is a reliable power adapter with a stable power supply and built-in noise reduction. It's a serious upgrade from the relatively inexpensive switch-mode adapters included with set-top boxes, network players, portable DACs, phono preamps, headphone amps, and network switches. Thanks to the different voltages, there is always an iPower X that suits your power needs.

Mijn Netgear GS105 switch van een geeltje, die in audiotests toch al uitzonderlijk goed blijkt te presteren, heeft met deze 12v voeding audiofiele vleugeltjes gekregen. (Dat zit 'm niet in de datapakketjeslogistiek, maar in de zuiverheid van de stroom en daarmee verschillende vormen van ruis die worden meegestuurd) Nóg beter kan natuurlijk wel, maar dan wordt het "trial & error" met speciaal voor audio aangepaste switches voor héél veel meer geld.
Als een fabrikant van een component niet gemotiveerd heel zeker is van zijn bijgevoegde voeding is deze iFi iPower X een enorme aanrader.

Hoewel deze Ifi IPower X bijna de helft meer kost dan de IfI IPower merk je snel de extra kwaliteit in geluidsweergave bij het aansluiten op bijv. een modem of switch. De 'X' uitvoering is ook wat krachtiger en heeft een fraaie indicatie die snel laat zien dat hij is voorzien van netspanning. Het enige nadeel is het nogal dunne snoertje wat vaak te lang is. Een DC inbouw connector waar een kabeltje met lengte en kwaliteit naar keuze kan worden ingeplugd zou hiervoor een goede oplossing zijn.
