The GO link 2 contains a bit-perfect ESS Sabre DAC that converts digital music into an accurate analogue audio signal. By bypassing the internal audio conversion of a phone or computer, it can provide more detail, improved channel separation and a cleaner background than a basic USB audio adapter or conventional integrated headphone output.
The DAC supports PCM files up to 384 kHz and DSD256, making it suitable for high-quality streaming services and locally stored Hi-Res music. The resolution that is actually played depends on the source file, streaming service, playback software and connected device.
iFi has further optimised the control and compensation within the DAC chipset. Integrated Dynamic Range Enhancement helps to create a clearer distinction between quiet passages, fine musical details and powerful dynamic peaks.
According to iFi, harmonic distortion has been reduced by up to 62% compared with the original GO link. This contributes to a cleaner, calmer and more natural presentation, particularly with complex recordings and at higher listening levels.
The 3.5 mm output uses iFi’s proprietary S-Balanced technology. It applies principles from balanced circuitry to a conventional single-ended 3.5 mm headphone connection. According to iFi, this reduces crosstalk between the left and right channels by half.
You can continue using existing headphones or in-ear monitors with a 3.5 mm plug without requiring a special balanced cable. The output impedance of less than 0.4 ohms also makes the GO link 2 suitable for many sensitive in-ear monitors.
The GO link 2 delivers at least 1.59 volts and 79 mW RMS into a 32-ohm load. At 300 ohms, it provides at least 2 volts and 14 mW. This allows it to drive many in-ear monitors, portable headphones and efficient full-size headphones confidently.

The integrated flexible cable terminates in a USB-C connector. The GO link 2 can be connected directly to compatible USB-C phones, tablets, laptops and computers that support digital USB audio. A USB-A-to-USB-C adapter is included for computers with a traditional USB-A connection.
The GO link 2 does not contain a separate battery. It receives power from the connected USB device and therefore does not require separate charging.
The GO link 2 is compatible with the iFi Nexis app. On a suitable Android device, firmware updates can be completed wirelessly. Users can also choose between hybrid and linear digital filters and set a volume limit.
Please note: the additional Nexis features, including firmware updates, filter selection and volume limiting, are available exclusively on Android devices. The GO link 2 can still be used for audio playback with other compatible USB audio devices.
