All IeGO products are manufactured entirely in-house. All copper-based connectors use only Furukawa copper as the base material – unlike many competitors who use phosphor bronze or brass, which are significantly poorer conductors than pure copper. The copper used is 99.99% pure Japanese prime-grade red copper, which is first treated with acid to remove impurities. The entire connector then undergoes a deep-cryogenic treatment at -240°C for 20 hours. This treatment reduces internal stresses in the material, increases conductivity, and improves hardness, preventing the contacts from bending.
The IeGO IEC plug is made of pure Furukawa copper, rhodium-plated to prevent oxidation, and then hand-polished. The housing is made of a special PVC manufactured in Japan by General.
