IeGO Dreamworks is a manufacturer of audiophile-quality audio components and produces some of the finest connectors on the market—regardless of price. Based in Taiwan and in business since 2000, IeGO supplies components to many of the world's leading cable brands. Unlike many competitors who use phosphor bronze or brass—materials with lower conductivity—IeGO manufactures all its copper-based connectors exclusively from Furukawa copper.
The copper used is 99.99% pure Japanese "prime grade red copper," which undergoes an acid bath to remove impurities. Each connector is then cryogenically treated at -240°C for 20 hours. This treatment reduces internal stresses in the material, improving both conductivity and hardness, preventing the contact points from bending.
The IeGo Schuko plug is crafted from pure Furukawa copper and plated with 24-karat gold for oxidation protection. Finally, each plug is hand-polished. The housing is made of a special PVC material produced in Japan by General.
