What is a Hybrid SACD?

A Hybrid SACD contains two playback layers. Its standard CD layer can be played on a conventional CD player, while a compatible SACD player provides access to the high-resolution DSD stereo layer. This combination makes the disc suitable for both existing CD systems and premium SACD playback.
