A high-quality audio system deserves a power foundation that is carefully engineered from the very first connection point. The Furutech FT-SWS NCF Plus(R) is Furutech’s further refined reference-grade Schuko wall socket, designed for demanding music lovers and high-end audio installations.
The Plus version builds on the FT-SWS NCF(R), combining Furutech’s exclusive Nano Crystal² Formula (NCF) with non-magnetic rhodium-plated α (Alpha) pure-copper conductors, a highly rigid mechanical structure and an improved contact system.
At the heart of the FT-SWS NCF Plus(R) is Furutech’s Nano Crystal² Formula. This special crystalline material is combined with nano-sized ceramic particles and carbon powder and is designed to help control static electricity and unwanted mechanical resonances.
Rather than concentrating solely on electrical conductivity, Furutech addresses the complete mechanical environment surrounding the power connection. This approach makes the FT-SWS NCF Plus(R) particularly relevant in carefully optimised audio systems where power delivery receives the same attention as cables and components.
The main conductors are manufactured from non-magnetic α (Alpha) pure copper with rhodium plating. The combination is designed to provide a durable, secure and high-quality electrical connection.
Furutech’s latest patented pressure-plate system increases the conductor contact area, while a non-magnetic stainless-steel conductor spring helps maintain even and consistent contact pressure. This creates a particularly firm connection for the installed Schuko power cable.
Furutech has also extensively refined the mechanical construction of the Plus version. It features a cast Zn-Mg alloy front plate with a carbon-fibre finish, optimised internal bracket and brace structures and additional vibration-control materials.
A hybrid carbon-fibre TPU coating is used to further suppress micro-vibrations. Together, these construction details create an exceptionally solid interface between the fixed AC installation and the power cables supplying your audio components.
The FT-SWS NCF Plus(R) is not a mains filter and does not rely on active electronics. Its performance concept is based on the quality of its materials, conductor surfaces, contact pressure and mechanical stability.
