Ortofon recommends connecting the leadwires to the cartridge and headshell before securing the cartridge to the headshell. The colour coding is red for the right-channel signal, green for the right-channel ground, white for the left-channel signal and blue for the left-channel ground.
Before ordering, check that your tonearm accepts a detachable headshell. The 14.3-gram headshell weight and the weight of the selected cartridge must also fall within the adjustment range of the tonearm counterweight.
