The Furutech CF-602F NCF (R) is a premium female XLR connector engineered for uncompromising balanced audio cables. This flagship Furutech design combines rhodium-plated α (Alpha) pure copper conductors with proprietary Nano Crystal² Formula (NCF) technology, a sophisticated carbon-fibre housing and robust mechanical construction.

The signal contacts use one-piece α (Alpha) Pure Copper conductors finished with rhodium plating. Furutech treats its metal components using its Alpha Process, combining deep cryogenic treatment with demagnetisation.

A major feature of the CF-602F NCF (R) is Furutech's proprietary Nano Crystal² Formula. The contact body uses a heat-resistant Liquid Crystal Polymer Resin containing nylon, fibreglass, nano-sized crystalline piezoelectric ceramic particles, carbon powder and Furutech's dedicated NCF damping material.
According to Furutech, NCF is designed to address both static charge and mechanical resonance. Special NCF damping clips are also integrated into the connector, extending resonance-control measures throughout the construction.
The connector uses a sophisticated multilayer hybrid NCF carbon construction featuring silver-plated 3K carbon fibre and non-magnetic stainless steel. The combination provides the CF-602F NCF (R) with its distinctive premium appearance while contributing to mechanical stability and damping.
The conductors can be terminated using either set screws or soldering, giving professional cable builders flexibility when assembling a premium balanced interconnect.
The connector accepts cables with an outside diameter of up to 10.0 mm. Furutech specifies up to 13 AWG / 2.62 mm² stranded conductors or 12 AWG / 3.3 mm² solid-core conductors.
