The Volumio Primo Plus combines a premium network streamer, DAC and digital preamplifier in one compact component. At its heart is a completely redesigned dual-mono architecture using two ESS Sabre ES9039Q2M DACs. Precision clocking, sophisticated power regulation and extensive connectivity make the Primo Plus a powerful digital source for demanding Hi-Fi systems.

Two ESS Sabre ES9039Q2M DACs operate in a dual-mono configuration, providing excellent channel separation and highly precise low-noise signal conversion. A fully balanced analogue output stage makes the Primo Plus particularly suitable for high-quality amplifiers equipped with XLR inputs.
A high-precision master clock with ultra-low 90 fs phase noise is designed to minimise jitter and preserve timing accuracy, detail and spatial information.
The USB-C input supports audio up to PCM 768 kHz/32-bit and DSD512, while network playback supports up to PCM 384 kHz/32-bit.
Eight selectable digital filters allow the DAC response to be fine-tuned. A switchable NOS mode is also provided for listeners who prefer playback without conventional oversampling filtering.
Hardware-based volume control allows the Primo Plus to be connected directly to a power amplifier or active loudspeakers, providing a particularly streamlined digital Hi-Fi system.
