The Volumio Preciso is designed for demanding listeners who want to extract maximum performance from their digital audio sources. Its symmetrical dual-mono architecture uses two ESS Sabre ES9039Q2M DAC chips, providing each audio channel with its own conversion path. Separate regulation for the digital and analogue sections further helps minimise interference and noise.

At the heart of Preciso are two ESS Sabre ES9039Q2M DACs. The left and right signal paths are arranged in mirrored, isolated circuits to minimise crosstalk and optimise channel separation.
USB-B and I²S over HDMI support audio up to PCM 768 kHz / 32-bit and DSD512, while the coaxial and optical S/PDIF inputs support PCM up to 192 kHz / 24-bit.
