Motivo offers considerably more versatility than a conventional network player. Its balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs allow direct connection to an amplifier or active loudspeakers. When using an external DAC, Motivo can operate as a dedicated digital transport through USB, coaxial or optical S/PDIF and I2S over HDMI.
The large touchscreen provides direct access to albums, artists, playlists and streaming services without requiring a smartphone or tablet. Motivo can also be controlled using the Volumio mobile app or a web browser.
The integrated headphone section uses the Texas Instruments TPA6120A2 and is optimised for both high- and low-impedance headphones, making Motivo an excellent choice for a high-quality desktop listening system.
