Waiting For The Sun

Waiting For The Sun combines The Doors' psychedelic rock sound with melodic, reflective passages and darker, more forceful material. Hello, I Love You became one of the band's biggest hits, while tracks such as Love Street, Summer's Almost Gone and Yes, The River Knows reveal a more restrained side of the group. In contrast, The Unknown Soldier and Five To One provide some of the album's most powerful moments.

For this audiophile reissue, the original analogue master sources were used. Doug Sax handled the remastering under the supervision of Bruce Botnick. The multichannel programme derives from the 96 kHz/24-bit files Botnick created from the original analogue multitrack masters. For SACD production these files were converted to DSD without filtering.

Please note: the multichannel version of Waiting For The Sun is presented in 5.0 surround, not 5.1. A separate subwoofer/LFE channel was deliberately not used when the surround mix was created.
