The Cars – The Cars on UltraDisc One-Step 180g 45 RPM vinyl

The Cars, the landmark debut album by American band The Cars, is presented in an exclusive audiophile edition from Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab. This numbered UltraDisc One-Step 2LP set is pressed on 180g vinyl and plays at 45 RPM. Production is strictly limited worldwide to only 4,000 numbered copies.

Originally released in 1978, the album combines rock, new wave, pop and electronic influences and includes classics such as Good Times Roll, My Best Friend's Girl, Just What I Needed and Moving in Stereo.

UltraDisc One-Step audiophile production

This edition was sourced from the original analogue tapes and mastered by Krieg Wunderlich for Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab. The records are pressed by Fidelity Record Pressing using the UltraDisc One-Step process.

The One-Step process eliminates intermediate stages normally used during conventional vinyl production. This reduces the number of generations between the master and the finished record, with the aim of preserving greater detail, dynamics and low-level information.
