Thorens TAB 1600 Absorber Base
The Thorens TAB1600 Absorber Base has been specially developed to improve the installation of your record player and to guarantee optimal operation. This sound absorber from Thorens has been designed with an innovative concept that significantly improves the reproduction of vinyl.
The Thorens TAB 1600 Absorber Base offers audio enthusiasts of analog reproduction an even more immersive musical experience, without distracting elements that can affect the quality of vinyl. The platter is made of an MDF base plate, covered with a layer of damping material, and combines acoustic foam in a sandwich construction. This unique combination effectively decouples the turntable from the surface, minimizing acoustic feedback.
In contrast to using spikes to connect the record player to the surface, which can often negatively affect the sound quality through vibration transfer, Thorens uses the principle of decoupling in the TAB 1600. This ensures that the negative influence of structure noise from the turntable is neutralized. Vibrations from the outside, such as from the furniture on which the record player stands, and vibrations from the record player itself are effectively counteracted. The result is audible in the form of a greater calmness around the music, allowing you to enjoy the musical details even more.
