Nils Lofgren - Acoustic Live on Hybrid Stereo SACD

Acoustic Live captures Nils Lofgren during an intimate acoustic concert in which his distinctive voice, expressive guitar playing and direct connection with the audience take centre stage. This Hybrid Stereo SACD contains 17 tracks, including “Keith Don’t Go”, “Black Books”, “No Mercy” and “You”. The concert was recorded on 18 January 1997 at The Barns at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia.

The concert was originally recorded digitally at 44.1 kHz/16-bit and remastered for this Analogue Productions edition by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound. The hybrid disc combines a conventional CD layer with a stereo SACD layer.

Live at The Barns at Wolf Trap

Nils Lofgren is joined during the concert by Tom Lofgren and Paul Bell, with guest appearances from Michael Lofgren and Mark Lofgren. The restrained acoustic arrangements give the vocals, guitar playing and natural ambience of the venue plenty of space.

What is a Hybrid Stereo SACD?

A Hybrid Stereo SACD contains two playable layers. A conventional CD player reads the standard CD layer, while a compatible SACD player provides access to the stereo SACD layer. This means the disc remains usable even if you do not yet own an SACD player.
