At the high-end shows in Munich and Moers, a vinyl test pressing could be heard in several demonstration rooms that attracted the attention of visitors and generated considerable demand. Finally, the “cat is out of the bag”: the album is the first release from the Swiss label rundum.music, founded in 2025 by producer Ramona Huber. Behind rundum.music are the Swiss company HiFiction AG and Micha Huber. This brings the story full circle, as Ramona Huber’s husband and the aforementioned company are known worldwide for producing high-quality analogue audio playback equipment under the Thales and EMT brands. The Hubers’ enthusiasm for achieving the best possible vinyl playback leads to a logical next step: the production of records at the very highest level.
This is exactly where Ramona Huber comes in. With “Alles Gute”, the debut album by Swiss artist Maria Wylma, she has immediately landed a remarkable first release from an artist we will hopefully be hearing much more from. Uwe Kirbach, editor-in-chief of the renowned German high-end magazine image hifi, was impressed in issue 3/2026 by the label’s premiere and the “extremely spacious effect and naturalness of the voice”. The recording was performed live and mixed on site in analogue form, without interrupting the musical flow of the songs through edits. The result is a fresh, lifelike, emotional and dynamic album with sound quality of an exceptionally high hi-fi standard.
“Alles Gute” is German-language poetry-pop: melancholic, dreamy and wrapped around honest, questioning and self-ironic lyrics. At the centre of the eight songs on “Alles Gute” are the courageous words and the shy piano of the highly talented singer-songwriter. Together with Matze Franz on guitar, Dave Demuth on bass and Dave Mette on drums, Maria Wylma creates a new world in which inner chaos is carried outward and arranged there — or not. Wylma’s carefully chosen words are lovingly complemented, emphasised and developed further by her music. As a result, the lyrics gain transparency: they connect, invite and draw the listener in.
The refined handling of words is no coincidence. The artist, who has lived for many years in the cultural city of Winterthur near Zurich, is a journalist, copywriter and editor — a professional path she chose after training in musical theatre and spending a short time in show business. For the recordings of “Alles Gute”, Klanghaus Toggenburg in Switzerland was chosen. This location, consisting of several rooms, made it possible to record the band as a compact formation in a smaller room, while a large central room and an echo chamber with reverb cushions could simultaneously be mixed in by sound engineer Marcel Babazadeh to create the spatial atmosphere. “Alles Gute” was pressed on high-quality 140-gram vinyl at MEK Vinyl in Switzerland and cut at 33 rpm.
rundum.music was founded in 2025 by Ramona Huber. In the sound philosophy of the Swiss label, the medium of vinyl offers the best conditions for capturing and reproducing music realistically. To allow listeners to enjoy natural and precise music reproduction in their own homes, Ramona Huber closely supervises the record manufacturing process — from recording to pressing. Through intensive collaboration with the pressing plant and cutting engineer, it is ensured that the vinyl production succeeds flawlessly.
At the very beginning of this process is, of course, the musical vision of the respective artists. The label initiates the projects together with the musicians and takes full responsibility for the recording process. The music is performed live in several takes and without overdubs, captured by more than a dozen microphones. Through analogue mixing consoles from SCHERTLER, all tracks are mixed during the recording and captured in two-track format using a professional high-end recorder from NAGRA. The results are neither edited nor treated with effects and are then auditioned and selected on site using a high-end system with the Thales Magnifier preamplifier and s1 active loudspeakers from Manger.
