Compact Class-A headphone amplifier with Transcap, dual 6.35 mm outputs, line out, optional 24bit/192kHz DAC and Q-PSU III power supply. Read more.
The HEED Modular CANALOT III is a compact headphone amplifier designed for music lovers, hi-fi enthusiasts and demanding listeners who want a more dedicated solution than the headphone output on a typical integrated amplifier. Positioned as a flexible component within HEED’s modular approach, it combines a small footprint with a serious analogue amplification stage. It is well suited to focused listening at a desk, in a dedicated hi-fi rack or in a minimalist system where headphones and active speakers share the same compact control point.
At the heart of the HEED Canalot III is a Class-A output stage combined with Heed’s Transcap technology, a design intended to provide stable drive, fine control and a clean, natural presentation with a wide range of headphones. It supports headphone impedances from 8Ω to 600Ω and offers two front-mounted 6.35 mm jack/TRS headphone outputs. The front panel also includes a volume control, analogue/digital status LED and input selector. A specially selected ALPS Bluevelvet volume control with channel matching of ≥ 0.5 dB is used to support accurate left-right balance, which is especially important at low listening levels.
The Canalot III can be configured for both analogue and digital systems. Its line input accepts sources such as a DAC, streamer, CD player or preamplifier, while the optional Heed Dactil 1.3 DAC Card Module adds S/PDIF RCA conversion up to 24bit/192kHz. A line output allows the unit to act as a compact preamplifier for active loudspeakers, making it useful in a desktop or space-saving hi-fi setup. The Canalot III is supplied without a power supply module, so the optional Q-PSU III is required for operation. Choose the HEED Canalot III when you want a refined, modular headphone amplifier with room to grow.
