Nursery Cryme is Genesis' third studio album and an important step in the development of the band's distinctive progressive-rock sound. Originally released in 1971, it was the first Genesis album to feature both drummer and vocalist Phil Collins and guitarist Steve Hackett. Analogue Productions presents the album as a premium Hybrid Stereo SACD in its Atlantic 75 Series.

Originally released in 1971, Nursery Cryme marked an important stage in the development of Genesis. Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford were joined by Phil Collins and Steve Hackett, establishing what became one of the band's classic line-ups.
The album combines intricate compositions with acoustic passages, electric guitar, Mellotron and organ, together with Genesis' distinctive theatrical storytelling. Tracks including The Musical Box and The Return Of The Giant Hogweed became defining works from the band's early period.
A Hybrid SACD contains both a standard CD layer and a high-resolution SACD layer. The CD layer can be played on a conventional CD player, while an SACD-compatible player is required to access the DSD SACD layer. This edition of Nursery Cryme is stereo rather than multichannel.
