The Furutech G-314Ag-15Plus is a high-quality power cable designed for demanding hi-fi and AV systems where reliable connections, effective shielding and carefully selected conductor materials are important. The G-314Ag-15Plus follows the Pure Transmission philosophy of Furutech, with particular attention paid to conductor materials, contact quality, shielding and mechanical stability throughout the power connection.
For the live and neutral conductors, Furutech uses 37 strands of silver-plated α μ-OFC copper, with each strand measuring 0.25 mm in diameter. Each conductor has a cross-sectional area of approximately 1.82 mm², equivalent to around 14 AWG.
The earth conductor also consists of 37 strands of 0.25 mm α μ-OFC. This carefully engineered conductor configuration is designed to provide stable and reliable AC power transmission.
Power cables often run close to analogue interconnects, digital cables, power supplies and other potential sources of electromagnetic interference. The G-314Ag-15Plus therefore features a stranded-wire braided shield designed to improve isolation from external electrical noise.
High-quality polyethylene (PE) is used for insulation, selected for its favourable electrical properties and reduced capacitance.
