The Furutech The Empire 1.5 Meter is a premium power cable developed for demanding hi-fi systems, high-end audio installations and professional studio equipment. The Empire combines PC-Triple C conductors with gold-plated Furutech connectors, comprehensive shielding and a carefully engineered cable construction.
It is designed for music enthusiasts and professionals who pay close attention to every connection in their audio system, including the mains supply. The Empire can be used with suitable amplifiers, DACs, CD players, network streamers, preamplifiers, active loudspeakers and professional audio equipment.
At the heart of the Furutech The Empire are three PC-Triple C conductors. Each conductor consists of 45 individual strands with a diameter of 0.32 mm. PC-Triple C is produced from high-quality oxygen-free copper using a proprietary forging process in which pressure is applied to optimise the structure of the conductor material.
An OFC braided shield helps protect the cable against external electromagnetic interference. Flexible audio-grade PVC is used for the insulation and cable sheaths, while a durable braided nylon outer sleeve provides additional mechanical protection.
The European version of The Empire is terminated with a gold-plated Furutech FI-E11(G) Schuko mains plug and a gold-plated FI-11(G) IEC C13 connector. These high-quality contact surfaces are engineered to provide a secure and consistently reliable electrical connection.
Furutech also applies its proprietary α (Alpha) Process to the metallic components. This treatment combines deep cryogenic treatment and demagnetisation and forms part of Furutech's approach to minimising unwanted influences within electrical connections.
The Empire also incorporates Furutech's patented Floating Field Damper. This system is designed to control unwanted electromagnetic effects around the connector assembly and forms an important part of Furutech's Pure Transmission philosophy.
