The AudioQuest Forest 48 HDMI is a premium Ultra High Speed HDMI cable designed for modern TVs, projectors, AV receivers, soundbars, media players and game consoles. With up to 48Gbps bandwidth, Forest 48 supports 8K/60Hz, 4K/120Hz, Dynamic HDR, eARC, VRR, ALLM and QFT.
Forest 48 goes beyond a basic HDMI cable through carefully selected materials and AudioQuest Noise-Dissipation technologies. Solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors feature 0.5% silver plating, while all 19 HDMI conductors are direction-controlled to help reduce RF noise.
AudioQuest Forest 48 is Ultra High Speed HDMI certified and provides the 48Gbps bandwidth required for advanced HDMI 2.1 capabilities. This enables resolutions and frame rates including 4K at 120Hz and 8K at 60Hz. AudioQuest also specifies support for professional Ultra HD video resolutions up to 10K.
Forest 48 is backward compatible with existing 4K equipment, making it suitable for both current systems and future AV upgrades.
Forest 48 uses solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors with 0.5% silver plating. Solid conductors prevent electrical and magnetic strand-to-strand interaction, while the silver plating forms part of AudioQuest's Noise-Dissipation approach.
The eARC conductor pair also uses solid 0.5% silver conductors combined with Level 1 Noise-Dissipation, making Forest 48 equally suitable for demanding video and audio applications.
Modern AV systems operate in environments filled with high-frequency interference from Wi-Fi, mobile devices and other electronics. All 19 HDMI conductors are direction-controlled to help reduce RF noise, complemented by AudioQuest's Level 1 Noise-Dissipation materials and techniques.
Forest 48 supports advanced gaming features including 4K/120Hz, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Quick Frame Transport (QFT). It is therefore an excellent HDMI cable for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and gaming PCs when used with compatible displays and AV equipment.
With eARC, Forest 48 is suitable for high-bandwidth audio connections between compatible TVs, soundbars and AV receivers. Compatible systems can carry advanced audio formats including Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Atmos.
Forest 48 also supports Dynamic HDR. With compatible source and display equipment, HDR information can be optimised on a scene-by-scene or frame-by-frame basis for accurate brightness, contrast and colour reproduction.
