FiiO K7

FiiO has increased their investment in desktop DACs and headphone amps since the K5 Pro became a hit on the market. However, after the popular high-end K9 Pro, a DAC/amp was still missing to bridge the gap. The K7 is the latest addition to the FiiO family and will become the new reference model for a balanced desktop/amp.

The K7 uses the same audio architecture as the previous high-end K9 Pro. It is a true balanced circuit consisting of a DAC, LPF, volume control, buffer amp, preamp and headphone amp. The audio signals of each channel are processed by the fully differential audio architecture. The amplifier uses the THX AAA 788+ designed for desktop devices and can deliver 560mW into a 300Ω load at 1% distortion each channel and 2000mW into a 32Ω load at 1% distortion each channel.

The left and right channels of the DAC are each equipped with AKM's latest AK4493SEQ DAC chip for high quality and warm sound. The USB decoding chip, the XMOS XUF208, uses dual clock management to easily handle various music formats. The K7's power supply design consists of multiple independent stages, with each stage's voltage controlled by low-noise LDOs and powered by an external 12V switching power supply.

The K7 features full aluminum alloy construction, carefully finished with CNC and other processes. The small design is only 55mm high and fits perfectly on modern desks. The K7 is designed to deliver abundant and clean power for an extraordinary listening experience.
