FiiO Air Link High-Res Bluetooth transmitter with Bluetooth 6.0, LDAC, aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless. Upgrade your phone, PC, Mac, PS5 or Switch with high-quality wireless audio. Read more.
The FiiO Air Link is a compact USB-C Bluetooth transmitter designed to upgrade devices with limited Bluetooth codec support to high-quality wireless audio. Featuring Bluetooth 6.0, Qualcomm's QCC5181 chipset and support for LDAC, aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless, it is an excellent solution for music, movies and gaming.
Simply connect the Air Link to a compatible USB-C port and transmit audio wirelessly to compatible Bluetooth headphones, earphones, speakers or receivers. Supported applications include smartphones, Windows computers, Mac, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5.
At the heart of the FiiO Air Link is the Qualcomm QCC5181 Bluetooth platform. Supported codecs include LDAC, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, aptX and SBC, with a maximum supported sampling rate of 96kHz/24-bit.
The codec actually used depends on the receiving Bluetooth device. To use LDAC or aptX Lossless, your headphones, speaker or Bluetooth receiver must also support the relevant codec.
The Air Link is particularly useful for devices whose built-in Bluetooth does not provide the desired high-quality audio codecs. FiiO specifically lists USB-C iPhones such as the iPhone 15, Windows PCs, Mac, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch among its intended applications.
Windows systems are supported from Windows 10 onwards. Simply connect the Air Link and select FIIO Air Link as the audio output device. macOS is also supported.
On Android, the Air Link uses the standard UAC 1.0 protocol. This provides compatibility with many Android smartphones, although differences between manufacturers and customised Android systems mean compatibility cannot be guaranteed for every device.
Bluetooth 6.0 provides a stable wireless connection with excellent operating range. FiiO specifies more than 50 metres in open space and over 35 metres where obstacles are present. Actual range depends on the environment, interference and the receiving Bluetooth device.
The FiiO Air Link supports Bluetooth multipoint and can be paired with two receiving Bluetooth devices. Its multifunction button provides quick access to pairing, mode selection and factory reset functions.
An RGB indicator displays the active Bluetooth codec and connection status.
The Air Link can be managed using the FiiO Control app and, on supported Windows and macOS computers, through the web interface. Available settings include codec selection, connection management and firmware updates.
In addition to its integrated USB-C connector, the Air Link includes a separate USB-C charging port. This allows the connected source device to be charged while the Air Link is in use. The charging connection supports up to 5V / 1A and does not support fast charging.
Measuring only 34.5 × 23.5 × 9.5 mm and weighing approximately 5 grams, the Air Link is easy to take anywhere. It is available in black and silver.
