The FI-8N Gold is designed for equipment using a 2-pole IEC C7 power inlet. This compact connection is commonly found on a variety of audio components, power supplies, network devices and other equipment using a figure-8 mains connection.
Furutech's specially developed female conductor design uses α (Alpha) beryllium copper and phosphor bronze conductors. The Gold version features gold-plated contact surfaces, providing a durable and reliable electrical interface for a carefully assembled high-end power cable.

The main body of the FI-8N Gold is made from nylon and fibreglass, while a polycarbonate cable clamp secures the power cable. This helps provide dependable strain relief and protects the internal conductor connections from unnecessary mechanical stress.
