The Furutech FI-11-N1 G is a high-performance IEC connector designed for building or upgrading premium audio power cables. It combines 24k gold-plated α (Alpha) phosphor bronze conductors with a robust construction, metal cable clamp and Furutech’s Floating Field Damper.
The FI-11-N1 G is an excellent choice for audiophiles and cable builders who pay close attention to every component in the power connection. It accepts cables with an outside diameter of 6.6 to 16.0 mm and conductor sizes up to 5.5 mm² / 10 AWG.
The contacts are manufactured from α (Alpha) phosphor bronze and finished with a 24k gold plating. Furutech applies its Alpha Process to conductive materials as part of its approach to creating stable, high-quality electrical connections.
The updated N1 generation also features an improved plating process and a new metal cable clamp. This provides a secure grip on the cable while helping to control mechanical resonance around the connector.
The FI-11-N1 G incorporates Furutech’s Floating Field Damper, developed to reduce unwanted magnetic effects around the connector. The technology is part of Furutech’s wider Pure Transmission philosophy, which focuses on carefully optimising every stage of power and signal transfer.
Rated at 10A / 250V AC and 15A / 125V AC, the FI-11-N1 G is suitable for a wide range of high-quality audio and AV power cable applications.
The front body is manufactured from nylon and fibreglass, while the outer shell is made from polycarbonate. Standard cable diameters from 6.6 to 16 mm are supported. Furutech specifies that cable diameters up to approximately 20 mm can be accommodated when a longer fixing screw is used.
