Beneath it lies a fully closed aluminium foil, providing effective high-frequency shielding. This ensures that noise fields from the power cable itself do not interfere with nearby interconnects.
The three robust conductors can handle high currents without ohmic losses. The ground wire is connected on both ends, while the shield is grounded only on the supply side – exactly as it should be.
