What is a Hybrid Multichannel SACD?

A Hybrid Multichannel SACD contains both a conventional CD layer and a high-resolution SACD layer. The CD layer can be played on virtually any standard CD player. A compatible SACD player is required to access the SACD layer and the discrete 5.0 multichannel mix.

Playback advice

Full 5.0 playback requires an SACD player with multichannel support and a suitable surround system. A standard CD player will only reproduce the conventional CD layer. As this is a 5.0 mix, it does not contain a separate LFE or .1 channel.
