“Complete & Unbelievable: The Otis Redding Dictionary of Soul” was the 1966 album by the soul legend and the last album released during his lifetime. The album mainly features cover versions on the first side and Redding’s own compositions on the second side.
Otis Redding is musically supported here by Booker T. & the M.G.'s: organist Booker T. Jones, pianist/guitarist Steve Cropper, bassist Donald “Duck” Dunn, drummer Al Jackson, pianist Isaac Hayes and the Memphis Horns, consisting of tenor saxophonist Joe Arnold, trumpeter Wayne Jackson, tenor saxophonist Andrew Love and baritone saxophonist Floyd Newman.
“Otis Redding’s Dictionary of Soul” was released in October 1966 on the Stax label and reached number 73 on the Billboard 200 and number 5 on the R&B LP charts.
