Heart Shaped World, Chris Isaak’s third studio album from 1989, became his international breakthrough following the success of Wicked Game. Isaak’s distinctive baritone, the atmospheric guitar work of James Calvin Wilsey and the album’s blend of rock, blues, country and rockabilly give this record its timeless and brooding character.

Mobile Fidelity sourced this numbered UltraDisc One-Step edition from the original master tapes. Mastered by Krieg Wunderlich and pressed at Fidelity Record Pressing, the album is presented on two 180g vinyl records playing at 45 RPM. The edition is strictly limited to 3,000 numbered copies and includes the bonus track Diddley Daddy.

What makes UltraDisc One-Step special?

The UltraDisc One-Step process removes two intermediate stages from the conventional three-step plating process. Stampers are created directly from the cut lacquers without separate father and mother plates. This reduces generational loss and helps preserve low-level detail, dynamics and spatial information.

Playback advice
