Intervention Records proudly presents the first LP in the new “Sun Records Hi-Fi Series”: Carl Perkins’ groundbreaking rockabilly classic “Dance Album Of Carl Perkins” from 1957. “Dance Album Of Carl Perkins” is filled with legendary songs that have become rock standards and have been covered by artists like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and many others. As good as many of these interpretations from the past decades are, no one delivered these songs with as much flair as Carl Perkins himself on “Dance Album Of Carl Perkins.” Well-known tracks on the album include “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Honey Don't,” “Matchbox,” and “Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby,” as well as cover versions of “Only You” and “Wrong Yo Yo.”

"Dance Album Of Carl Perkins" was fully remastered in analog by the legendary Kevin Gray at CoHEARent Audio, using all analog tape sources from the label's archives. The result is impressive and demonstrates how fantastic mono recordings can sound when specially prepared for playback on modern stereo cartridges. This Intervention Records LP reissue was pressed on 180-gram vinyl by Gotta Groove Records and cut at 45 rpm. Befitting its status, "Dance Album Of Carl Perkins" comes in an old-style sleeve from Stoughton Printing, complete with the iconic album cover.

This new edition proves just how great mono recordings can sound when specifically remastered for playback on modern stereo cartridges.
